Meet on arrival to Bandaranayke International Airport & transfer to Colombo Afternoon City Tour of Colombo driving through the Commercial area of the “Fort” so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort at this point. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. You will drive past and view a Hindu temple, Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, and the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, Independence Square and Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall. Also shopping tour of Colombo including a visit to a departmental store ODEL, which has internationally Recognized “Designer” brands of clothing at reasonable prices. (City tour is 04 hours only). After breakfast proceed to Kandy. En-route visit to Pinnawala and visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala. This orphanage is the home for about 60 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed. Also could accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their daily bath. In the afternoon do a city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts Centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Overnight: Hotel in Kandy (Oakray Regency)






After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Overnight: Hotel in Kandy (Oakray Regency)

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En-route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Afternoon visit Nuwara Eliya city tour to have better view of the scenery of the county side. Visit Tea Factory. You will be riding through tea estates, mountains, tunnels and waterfalls. Arrive at Hotel. The beauty of Nuwara Eliya is breathtaking. The early British settler favored its mountainous landscape, cascading waterfalls and sleepy towns nestling into the mountainside. The abundant rainfall, sunshine, cold nights and mists provide the perfect climate for growing tea. This is one of the best holiday resorts with the most picturesque golf course in Asia. After breakfast proceed to Ella, Ella in Sri Lanka is a small laid-back town surrounded by the beautiful greens of tea. There are a lot of things to do in Ella. Take one of the most beautiful train rides from Nuwara Eliya to Ella and fall in love with the surroundings. You will probably end up staying longer than you actually planned to. Ella has a comfortable climate where the nights are cool and the daytime around 28 degrees. After breakfast proceed to leave for Yala. YALA National Park (a few kms past Hambantota on the coast) Yala is the most popular park with a vast array of animals including deer, Peacock, elephant, wild buffalo and the lucky visitors may get to see a leopard or bear. There are self- catering bungalows in the park, which can be used, but bookings must be made well in advance for availability. Camping can also be organized. Day at leisure at the beach hotel on bed & breakfast basis. Just across the Bentota Bridge over the River Bentara also called River Bentota Ganga is the coastal town of Bentota. Bentota is a very pretty rural area: the greenery of the landscape is especially striking. Most of the areas are well shaded and sheltered by tall trees with the coconut palm trees dominating the landscape. Bentota is the prime beach resort of the south-western and southern coastal belts of Sri Lanka. South of the city of Colombo, the city of Kalutara with its fine beach is the gateway to south western and southern bay beaches. Kalutara is the next popular beach. The Beruwala Bay Beach that is just before reaching Aluthgama at the Bentota Bridge and Bentota Bay Beach just over the bridge are the most popular twin beaches in the coast. After breakfast proceed to the Airport in time to connect with the flight for departure
